Revolutionizing Bridge Reconstruction in Glacier National Park with Hydrauli-Flex Hoses

During a massive $8.9 million bridge reconstruction project aimed at improving 13 bridges within the park, Battle Ridge Construction used their ICE® 28B Vibratory Hammer to extract piles from a temporary bridge, with Hydrauli-Flex hoses playing a crucial role in powering this equipment. These temporary bridges, while essential for maintaining tourist traffic flow, need to be quickly and safely dismantled to make way for permanent solutions, and the ICE® 28B did just that.

The project required removing four 16-inch steel piles, each about 20 feet long, from a temporary bridge that had been installed as part of the rehabilitation work. The Hydrauli-Flex hoses worked tirelessly under pressure, enabling the ICE® 28B Vibratory Hammer to operate at peak efficiency and quickly extract the piles. This accelerated the pace of the park's bridge improvements, which included timber pile and curb replacement, concrete repairs, and essential erosion control measures.
