In April 2024, Route 78 in Bedminster, NJ, underwent a much-needed upgrade to address the increased volume of traffic that had plagued the area for years. As an essential east-west highway stretching from Harrisburg, PA, to the Holland Tunnel in New York City, I-78 saw over four million trucks annually, representing a staggering 24% of all truck traffic in the United States. Not only did I-78 serve as a critical route for the transportation of goods, but it also connected major international airports like Newark Liberty International, John F. The renovation of this crucial corridor involved wider and safer modernized bridges along the highway.
